ADAPTIVE OPTICS TECHNOLOGIES
Dynamic Optics is a technology-driven company specialized in the development of advanced adaptive optics solutions for space, defense, scientific, industrial, and biomedical applications. Its mission is to develop products that respond to the evolving needs of the adaptive optics market while supporting customers in the development of dedicated integrated solutions.
The team combines expertise in optical engineering, control systems, mechanical engineering, and software development to design and build high-performance adaptive optics systems.
Since 2020, Dynamic Optics has been part of the Officina Stellare group, strengthening its presence in the space and laser communication sectors. In particular, the collaboration between Officina Stellare and ThinkQuantum provides a unique combination of expertise and capabilities in the field of laser communication technologies
Stefano Bonora – Founder & CEO
Stefano Bonora is the founder and CEO of Dynamic Optics. He began working in the field of adaptive optics in 2004, when he is appointed as Director of Research at the Institute for Photonics and Nanotechnologies (IFN) in the National Research Council of Italy, at the Padova unit.
During his research career, he developed and supplied deformable mirrors for several international organizations and research facilities, including the Fritz Haber Institute in Berlin, the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory in the UK, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, and the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in the United States.
Stefano has also been a visiting scientist at several international institutions, including:
- Simon Fraser University, Vancouver, Canada
- University of California, Davis – Visual Science Retinal Imaging Lab, Sacramento, USA
- University of Galway, Ireland
- Institut Non Linéaire de Nice, France
- Central Laser Facility at Rutherford Appleton Laboratory and the University of Oxford, UK
These international experiences allowed him to gain a deep understanding of different methodologies and development processes applied to adaptive optics systems.
In 2017, Stefano founded Dynamic Optics, bringing into the company the experience, knowledge, and professional network he had built during his years as a researcher.
